Ashley approaches art education as a medium for social transformation. She has expertise conceptualizing and implementing frameworks for culturally relevant arts based programming that serve multicultural communities. She is driven by her passion for social advocacy and the belief that the arts are an extremely effective tool for building the lives of all. Originally from Detroit, MI, Ashley moved to NYC and attended Parsons The New School where she received her BFA in Integrated Design and her MA in Arts Administration from Baruch College. She has worked as an artist, exhibition & education manager, and educator for organizations such as Scholastic Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, CityGrowers, LeAp NYC, Prinkshop, and Brooklyn Children’s Museum as the Education Programs Manager where she worked with staff to develop, coordinate, and manage school and public programs.
