Olaya Barr is a translator, photographer, and writer living in New York. She was awarded the De Alba Fellowship for excellence in fiction writing as an MFA student at Columbia University, as well as a grant to attend artist residency Obracadobra in Oaxaca, Mexico. Her translations, poems, stories, and photographs can be found in such publications as Forth Mag, Vagabond Multilingual Journal, and Princeton’s Inventory. She’s currently working on a novella that integrates photography, both found and her own.
