Join CMA Teaching Artists as we design and create our very own 3-dimensional animal habitats! Does your creature live under the sea, in the desert or deep in the jungle? You can create a habitat inspired by a natural environment or you can illustrate an imaginary environment like a monkey’s home on Mars! Learn techniques to transform materials from 2D to 3D!

Educator Valerie Grosso will be leading a workshop “Life in the Desert” in tandem with this project. For this activity young artists create animals with cut outs of fur, scales, talons and more while learning how these different features are adaptations for the desert environment.
