This foundations class introduces young artists to fine arts fundamentals and techniques through the exploration of notable, diverse artists such as Joan Mitchell, Cy Twombly, Kerry James Marshall and Mondrian, as well as a range of drawing and painting mediums. Through a series of projects, including drawing from life, landscape painting, and portraiture, students will be exposed to the fundamentals of color, line, texture, shape, and more. Each student will end the semester with his or her own portfolio of unique artworks!
Georgina Arroyo is a New York based visual artist and creative content creator. She graduated with a BFA in Fine Arts from Lesley University's College of Art and Design where she focused on drawing and printmaking.
