In this class, students will be introduced to the basic concepts of game design and sequential storytelling through hands on projects and immersion into a digitally interactive experience. This class will help students hone their analytical, technical, and compositional skills as CMA Teaching Artists introduce them to narrative concepts, graphic design techniques, and user-friendly game design software, such as Scratch. Through simple coding, students will collaborate to bring their original art and story into a point and click game. Students will also learn about the history, process, and various types of video games throughout time as they imagine and create their own! The class will culminate with an interactive arcade that they can share with friends and family!
