With the urban and natural surroundings of New York City as their guide, young artists will learn to use a variety of mediums, such as modeling clay, acrylic, and watercolors, to represent the scenes around them. When available, students will have the unique opportunity to create their artworks “en plein air”: setting up their supplies and working outside! Along the way, young artists will be exposed to about landscape artists from past to present- from Renoir to contemporary painter Crystal Liu.
