Art is one of the great achievements of civilizations all over the world.  Young artists will learn new painting and sculpture skills as they create unique works of art inspired by masterworks, such as the bust of Queen Nefertiti, tantric painting of India, Indigenous Australian cave painting, the Hudson River School and Leonardo DaVinci’s Mona Lisa. This class will expand art skills as well as geography and cultural appreciation as we consider art from different times and places around the globe.  Projects include individual and collaborative paintings, drawings and sculptures.
