This week-long course combines skill-based art classes with an opportunity to receive hands-on internship and community service hours by working side by side with CMA’s Teaching Artists during the museum’s general hours. Each morning begins with an intimate lesson that focuses on a fundamental principle of fine art, introducing advanced techniques and use of materials in printmaking, sculpture, fashion design and much more. During the afternoon, young artists will be responsible for proposing a guided workshop inspired by the morning lesson. Under the guidance of CMA Teaching Artists, artists will have the opportunity to develop their own creative curriculum, manage material prep, and execute lessons during public hours at CMA.
