In this class, young artists will learn how to plan, shoot and edit their own short films! Students will learn about camera techniques, storytelling tools, and genre forms used in the cinematic arts such as, A Trip to the Moon by Georges Melies. Teaching Artists will introduce the basics of editing and cinematic cuts, and will teach the class how to storyboard, plot, and shoot short films. Young artists will learn about the collaborative nature of filmmaking and the various roles it requires.
