In this class students will learn the art of creating their own unique characters, and how to overcome the challenge of writer’s block. Through fun and easy illustration exercises, students will learn how to develop personality and appearance with hands-on workshops that will help them think outside of the box. Young artists will learn how color and shape affect how a character is viewed and how line quality and material can change the tone of a story. They will learn the importance of details and their roles in developing a strong character persona. Whether artists are first-time illustrators or looking to strengthen their skills, the Craft of Character Design is the perfect class!
