In this class, young artists will explore a variety of printmaking techniques like block printing, monotypes, and silkscreen to create their own set of prints. Inspired by exceptional printmakers throughout the ages such as Helen Frankenthaler, Jim Dine, Orit Hofshi, Swoon, and Mark Webber, this class will develop students’ design and technical skills, while expanding upon ideas of what printmaking can be. From design conception to the final edition, young artists will use a variety of mixed media and materials as they explore what’s possible in printmaking!
