Alexander Calder is probably best remembered for his bold yet elegant mobiles, but he also made jewelry, paintings, drawings, and toys! This class will investigate the many making modes of Calder. Young artists will explore both 2D and 3D mediums in this class, as they draw, paint, sculpt with wire, and more. Using a multimedia-based approach, they will create projects inspired by Calder’s many works. At the end of the class, students will have unique, wearable art pieces, their very own mobile, and more!
