Ghosts, Vampires, Fairies, Witches, Superheroes, and Monsters are invited to join us for our annual Halloween Parade! We’ll have a host of Halloween-themed workshops where you can create spooky decorations, elements for your costume, and more. Then, jump in our parade around the museum to show off your costumes and creations!

The parade kicks off at 11:30 AM and again at 3:30 PM in the Gallery.

Workshops include:

Miniature Haunted Houses: In this workshop, young artists will design and create their very own miniature haunted houses using upcycled building materials and art supplies! Bring your haunted house home, or leave it at the museum to share with the CMA community!

Sculptural Spider WebsIn celebration of Halloween, museum guests will design and create their very own sculptural spider webs! Real spider webs are made of incredibly strong and sticky silk. What can you use to re-create one of nature’s spookiest traps? What shapes will you need to create? What size will your web be?

Jack-o-Lantern Animations: Create your own paper Jack-o-Lantern and animate it in pumpkin patch! Direct your own autumn themed stop motion clip!

Spooky Stories: Get into the Halloween spirit today in the Sound Booth! Today, we will be writing and recording spooky stories complete with eerie sound effects!

Enchanted Forests: Create an enchanted forest today at the Clay Bar! What will your forest have? A haunted house? A magic pumpkin patch? A spooky witch’s hut? The only limit is your imagination!
