Lisa Marie Ludwig is a New York-based artist who creates installations that encourage collaboration with the community. Ludwig has shown at CMA before with her Art Neighborhood, a sculpture that comments on the economic crisis and our desire to come together as one. Her miniature shantytown is equipped with a movie theater, an art gallery, and action figures. Ludwig’s current project FACADE uses found objects and discarded cardboard to create the face of buildings in neighborhoods that have been torn down in order to create space for new and larger buildings. Facade is about remembering and documenting the surroundings of neighborhoods during demolition and transformation.

Lisa will be on site working with families on Thursdays and Fridays from 2-6 PM.
