Choose Your Subject

Fine Arts

CMA’s Fine Arts Teaching Artists are well-versed in a range of mediums including drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, and textiles. In these 90 minute sessions,  they will lead your child through the project of their choice, explaining fundamental techniques in that medium and introducing the work of both master and contemporary artists.

Media Lab

Media Lab Teaching Artists encourage and empower young artists to be active and discerning viewers of film and media while learning how to create their own films, animations, and various multimedia projects. Lessons are available in stop motion animation filmmaking, puppet and set building, digital photography, cinematography, and postproduction.

Art & Robotics (Recommended 7+)

Combining the basics of circuitry with art making, students will gradually build their skill set with guidance from a teaching artist. Young artists can create wearable art that lights up, invent their own “drawing machines”, and even put together their own “FrankenToys” that move on their own!

Sound Booth

Explore singing, songwriting, or radio podcasting in our famous Sound Booth! Teaching Artists will work with students to record their very own song or album, and learn more about the process of sound recording along the way.

Reel/Portfolio Development

For aspiring artists, CMA can provide a head start in portfolio work while building the confidence and skills needed to apply and succeed in an art-focused high school. Guided by professional Teaching Artists, your child will refine their distinguished style as they create several completed artworks to satisfy the requirements of most admission processes.
