Looking to fill your child’s summer break? Find a truly collaborative art making experience in CMA’s Summer Art Colony Day Camp. Art Colony allows students to immerse themselves in full-day, innovative arts courses taught by professional teaching artists. Classes run from 10 AM-4 PM, with supervised play from 9-10 AM and 4-5 PM included. Explore the wide variety of class offerings for ages 6-15.
CMA’s Summer Art Colony offers over 50 camps at two locations, at CMA and on historic Governors Island. 2017 classes run June 19 – September 1, 2017.
DROP OFF: All campers must check in at the front desk between 9-10 AM and then be escorted by parents to the classroom for drop off/sign in. Campers will have one hour of open activities before class begins.
10 AM – 4 PM
CLASS: Art class runs from 10 AM – 4 PM. Classes take an hour lunch break at 12 PM, with supervised outdoor play at a local playground (weather permitting). Campers must bring lunch, snacks, a water bottle and sunscreen. A refrigerator is available for storing lunch.
PICK UP: Parents check in at the front desk before picking up/signing out campers in their classrooms. Campers will have one hour of open activities after class ends.

For Classes on Governors Island: $850 per week
For 2-week Classes on Governors Island: $1700 for 2 weeks SAVE $85 on each week-long class & $170 on 2 week classes on Governors Island with CMA Friends and Community Builder Membership

DROP OFF: All campers must be dropped off at the Governors Island Ferry loading dock at the Battery Maritime Building (10 South St.) and signed over to CMA staff for the 9 AM ferry.
9 AM – 9:10 AM
Campers and CMA staff take the ferry to Governors Island.
9:10 AM – 10 AM
SUPERVISED PLAY: Campers will have one hour of supervised play in Nolan Park before class begins.
10 AM – 4 PM
CLASS: Art class runs from 10 AM – 4 PM. Classes take an hour lunch break at 12 PM, with supervised outdoor play on the Island. Campers must bring lunch, snacks, a water bottle and sunscreen.
SUPERVISED PLAY: Campers will have one hour of supervised play in Nolan Park before returning on the ferry.
PICK UP: Campers and CMA staff take the ferry back to the Battery Maritime Building to meet parents for pick up. Parents pick up/sign out campers at the loading dock upon the ferry’s arrival.
*Please note that Governors Island will be open to the public on weekdays during Summer 2014.

Proceeds from our paid classes support our community programs.
Refund Policy: CMA is not responsible for providing make-up classes or issuing refunds for programs missed as a result of illness, emergencies or other events beyond our control. If you would like to cancel your enrollment in a class, CMA will provide you with a full refund minus a $75 registration fee up to two weeks prior to the start of class. Within two weeks of the start of the class, CMA will provide you with a full refund minus the $75 registration fee ONLY if CMA is able to fill your child’s place in the class. If CMA is unable to fill the place in the class, the class will be non-refundable.
Cancellation: CMA reserves the right to cancel any class due to low enrollment. If a class has 0 students enrolled, you will be notified of the cancellation 4 weeks prior to the start of the class. If a class has only 3 students and under enrolled, you will be notified of the cancellation 2 weeks prior to the start date. If CMA cancels a class that your child is enrolled in, you will have the option to switch classes within the program or receive a full refund. Please sign up early to ensure classes proceed as scheduled.
