Birthday Parties

Have a fun and festive art-filled celebration with your child and friends!

The party begins with free time to explore the Museum's interactive projects. Our experienced CMA staff then lead the children in a workshop of your choice. End on a sweet note with delicious food and cake!

Birthday Breakfast Party
Saturday 10:00 - 11:30

Includes exclusive use of the entire museum, choice of art project, two birthday party artists to lead the art project and to help the host with fruit, bagels, juice boxes, coffee, water, a personalized cake, paper goods, invitations, and Little Artist Gift Bags.

Art in the A.M.
Saturday 10:00 - 11:30
Sunday 10:00 - 11:30

Includes exclusive use of the entire museum, choice of art project, two birthday party artists to lead the art project and to help the host with food. Party hosts must provide all food, paper goods, and gift bags.

We Put the ART in Party
Saturday 12:30 - 2:00 and 3:00 - 4:30

Includes private party room, free play in the museum, choice of art project, two birthday party artists to lead the art project and to help the host with pizza from Two Boots, juice boxes, coffee, water, a personalized birthday cake, paper goods, invitations and Little Artist Gift Bags. 

$700 for 15 children

Art in the Afternoon
Saturday 12:30 - 2:00 and 3:00 - 4:30
Sunday 12:30 - 2:00 and 3:00 - 4:30

Additional Information

• To ensure the safety of the children and the enjoyment of the party, an additional birthday party artist will be added at the 21st and 28th child at the rate of $60 per artist.
• There is an additional cost for images on the cake.
• The Museum is also available for parties on some weekday evenings and school holidays.
• Reservations are guaranteed only after receipt of signed contract and $100 non-refundable deposit.
• Families with "Friend" or "Community Builder" CMA memberships will receive a 10% discount on the base party price.
• Extend your party for a 1/2 hour for only $70!
• 2 adults per party guest are welcome to attend the above parties.

Choose from a list of art workshops

Custom Projects! (all ages). Let our artists help you customize a project to fit with the theme of your party or your child's favorite thing.

Collage Based Projects (ages 2+). Children will use different materials and textures to make their own creation.  Choose from:

• Animal Masks
• Wacky Hats
  
• Crowns

Jackson Pollock (ages 3+). Morning and evening parties only.  Dress for a mess. Kids will try their hand at Pollock’s action style painting to create a collaborative mural.

T-shirt Painting (ages 4+). Dress for a mess. Hosts provide t-shirts.

Ceramic Clay Sculpture (ages 4+). Kids use colored tiles, found objects, and self-drying clay to create a sculpture.

Pablo Picasso (ages 4+). Make a mask using Picasso’s cubist style.

Recycled Jewelry (ages 4+)   Kids create jewelry out of beads, fabric, foam, and recycled materials.

Georgia O’Keeffe (ages 5+). Make a garden of paper flowers.

Tie-Dye (ages 6+). Morning and evening parties only. Dress for a mess. Hosts provide t-shirts.

Calder’s Circus (ages 6+). Make a circus animal or performer out of wire and recycled materials.

ANNOUNCING! CMA's Animation Celebration
By combining our ever-popular animation classes with our art-filled birthday parties, CMA has created an innovative new way to celebrate!

In this 2 hour party, kids learn the basics of claymation and collaborate on short animation movies. Perfect for kids 6-12 years old.

Parties include exclusive space rental and can take place 10-noon or 5:30-7:30pm. Catered options available. Maximum 20 kids.

Animation Celebration: $1050 (for 15 kids, $12 per additional child)
