6 Funny Items You Can Actually Mail

Get your stamps ready! In honor of this month’s CIVICKIDS challenge, Postcard Party, we are highlighting six fun objects that you can send through the US Postal Service. All you need to do is write the address clearly using a permanent marker, adhere sufficient postage (depending on how heavy the object is and where you are mailing it to), and the post office will mail it for you!

1. Coconut

2. Box of Candy

3. Banana

4. Flip Flop

5. Frisbee

6. Potato

January’s digital challenge is Postcard Party. Sending a letter to an elected official is a surefire way to make your voice heard! Artists have an advantage—they know how to make their letters and postcards the most eye-catching! How will you get your elected official’s attention, and what will you say? Follow along and participate using the hashtag #CMACIVICKIDS and your project will be added to our online exhibition!

This program is supported, in part, by the Horace W. Goldsmith Foundation, the New York State Council on the Arts with support of Governor Andrew Cuomo, and public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs. CIVICKIDS is sponsored by Google.
