Step Into Our Eco Hero Sanctuary With Pamela Peeters

If you’ve stopped by the museum recently, you may have noticed the geodesic dome that has taken over our Swirl Studio. Pamela Peeters’ Eco Hero Sanctuary invites children and their families to create paintings and drawings inspired by nature for Climate Change Week in NYC. Through her installation, Peeters hopes to give children a voice in the ongoing climate change debate. Peeters is an Environmental Economist and Sustainability Strategist who loves working alongside children, and has brought her Eco Hero curriculum to kids in America, Kenya, Canada, Belgium and Bali.

Eco Hero Sanctuary will be in our Swirl Studio through October 6th, 2016, and Peeters will be joining visitors to lead a drawing workshop with a focus on the ecosystem soil on October 6 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM. If you want to leave your drawing with Peeters, it will go on to be included in her traveling installation!
