CMA Associate Director of Museum Programming Raquel Du Toit leads her popular Club CMA with Raquel class as part of September Free Fridays, which provide free access to our most popular CMA Live! classes while amplifying important community topics.
Build a virtual Zoom quilt by cutting out cardboard patterns and shapes, then painting them with bright colors. Afterwards, we will “connect” our pieces on our computer screens to make a virtual quilt.
Quilts can share many stories, including those of our family and cultural history. During dinner or storytime, share a story about a special quilt or heirloom you have at home. You can even make a family tree or illustrate the story on another quilt square.
Materials: cardboard, tempura or acrylic paint, pencil, scissors, paint
This class takes place on Eastern Standard Time (EST).
This class will be recorded for educational and promotional purposes. If you do not wish to have your image or name on screen, please join with audio only and rename yourself using the Zoom rename options.
