Explore physicality and channel energy in this active live online class! Young artists will use their bodies and imaginations to explore images and feelings through movement and music. This class is led by Mackie Saylor, CMA School and Community Programs Manager.

This class takes place on Fridays through August 28. Registration begins one week from class date. Class times are listed in Eastern Time (ET). Participants should wear comfortable clothes to move in and have access to a small space to move around.

Weekly Themes

July 17: Super Animals
Exploring qualities of a hero through animals.

July 24: Earth Protectors
Celebrate different elements of nature and the heroes who protect our environment.

July 31: Everyday Heroes
Explore how heroes can use their circumstances to imagine better ways of life.

August 7: Our Future Selves 
Through character exploration and pantomime, let’s imagine what our futures could be like.

August 14: Reimagining Our Spaces 
Using our bodies and imaginations, we will explore the functions of different spaces in a community and how we can improve them.

August 21: No Word Storytelling
How can we tell a story with just our bodies? We will explore how we share feelings and ideas without words.

August 28: Dreams Into Action
Once we imagine our hopes and dreams of the future, we can then put those dreams into action! We will explore the physicality of  different action words to help make our dreams a reality.
