Lucia Hierro’s series of collages for Home Sweet Home feature imagery very common in the grocery store, using a lot of food packaging. These images evoke memories of the artist’s childhood, and using them for collage creates intimate recreations of the artist’s past. How can food tell a story about our childhoods? In the gallery this weekend, we’ll be creating portraits of the foods we love to show others the often forgotten things that make us who we are.
