Drawing is the fundamental way in which artists realize the world. In this week-long immersive drawing experience, your young artist will explore the world of drawing through observation, sketching, and drawing from still life.
Along the way, students will experiment with both traditional and unconventional drawing materials such as ink, charcoal, pencils, string, sticks, and even lemon juice while exploring techniques including blind contour drawing, value, and perspective. Students will also learn to critique their work, and the work of their peers, using the guiding principles of balance, proportion, rhythm, emphasis, variety, and unity.
