Young illustrators will bring their favorite stories to life as they become familiar with professional illustration techniques, including pen and ink drawings, watercolor paintings, and cartooning. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Edward Gorey, Maurice Sendak, Roz Chast, Saul Steinberg, and Eric Carle, young artists will build a vocabulary in the techniques used by some of the most well-known illustrators of our time. Class size is limited to 15 children.

Suggested Art Materials: watercolors, watercolor paper (or mixed media paper), pen and ink, pencil, watercolor brushes, colored pencils, eraser. Prior to class, students will receive a curated list with purchase links, as well as DIY alternatives.

Please Note: This class takes place on Eastern Time (ET).
