Students will take on the role of director, editor, and even actor as they explore the fascinating process of filmmaking! From story development to postproduction, Teaching Artists will lead the class through the collaborative filmmaking process. Starting with the creation of original screenplays, students will envision and write a structural outline for their cinematic work. They will then shoot their films using DSLR cameras and learn the basics of the editing process. They will work together on costume and prop design to bring their ideas to life. The class will finish with a collaborative film to share with friends and family!
