Students will take on the roles of writer, director, and actor as they explore the fascinating process of filmmaking! From story development to shooting, Teaching Artists will lead the Art Colony through the collaborative filmmaking process. Starting with the creation of original screenplays, students will envision and write a structural outline for their cinematic work. Next, they will shoot their films using DSLR cameras and learn the basics of the editing process. They will also work together on costume and prop design to bring their ideas to life. The Art Colony will finish with a collaborative film to share with friends and family!
