Throughout time, artists have used poster design as a vehicle for amplifying their voices. In this half-day online camp, artists will explore methods of printmaking while learning about socially conscious artists who have used the media to take a stand on important issues, such as Shepard Fairey to Tatyana Fazlalizadeh. Students will learn the basic principles of relief printing and mono-printing, then have the chance to create their own prints that relay important messages through typography and imagery.

Materials: cardboard; styrofoam; scissors; glue; poster board; ink or paint; paint rollers or paintbrush

This class will be recorded for educational and promotional purposes. If you do not wish to have your image or name on screen, please join with audio only and rename yourself using the Zoom rename options.
