Calling all budding filmmakers! This class will study and employ the fundamental tools needed to make an animated film. They will build character development skills as they brainstorm stories, write a screenplay, and create concept designs. From there they will illustrate storyboards, perform and record voice-overs, and collaborate with a CMA Teaching Artist to compose music to score their film. Students will construct their puppets and sets, light them, and animate them, using cameras, computers and iStopmotion software. Films from past Media Lab programs have been featured in the Tribeca Film Festival, Big Movies for Little Kids, and the New York International Children’s Film Festival.
