Hit the streets! In this exciting new class, young artists will seek to document the world around them through their own eyes, from great New York street style to amazing architecture and beyond. Students will learn about the “decisive moment”, a term coined by photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson to describe finding that perfect moment to take a photograph, and bring it into their everyday lives. Teaching Artists will expose students to digital photography techniques, Photoshop skills, and the work of documentarians such as Mary Ellen Mark, Brandon Stanton, and Annie Leibovitz. Learn to take amazing photographs for your portfolio, your blog, or even your Instagram account!
