ArtTable hosts Doro Globus, Managing Director of David Zwirner Books, and Genevieve Martin, Director of Advancement and External Affairs at Children’s Museum of the Arts, for a discussion on the motivation behind Globus’ newly published children’s book, Making a Great Exhibition (also the subject of CMA’s recent Kidzzcast episode!)
In Making a Great Exhibition, author Doro Globus demystifies the museum space and offers insight into how an artwork goes from studio to exhibition. Thinking beyond the finished product — the exhibition or the artwork — Globus shows the wide array of people and skills needed to bring an exhibition to life, including curators, art handlers, educators, photographers, shippers, guards, and museum visitors. Both Globus and illustrator Rose Blake were raised in the art world, thus teaming up to share their unique experiences and love for the art world with children and families.
Parents are encouraged to bring their children to this program. All registrants will receive a downloadable activity kit for kids, as well as a recording of the event. Enter the discount code ATFriend at checkout to receive the special CMA community rate of $5 per ticket.
