Sunday, Oct 27, 11 am to 5 pm
Governors Island, New York

Travel to historic Governors Island for free hands-on art-making workshops and art-viewing experiences! On weekends from 11-5 PM, the open outdoor space of Free Arts Island Outpost beckons families to become inspired to explore big projects utilizing found objects and traditional mediums. This is a space to invent, adapt, and transform relationships to art and the art-making process. The 2019 season runs from June 1—October 27, 2019.

This program is supported, in part, by Con Edison, the Mr. & Mrs. Raymond Horowitz Foundation, the Horace W. Goldsmith Foundation, the New York State Council on the Arts with support of Governor Andrew Cuomo, and by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council, with special thanks to City Council Members Margaret Chin and Carlina Rivera.
