Starting April 16, millions of Manhattan-based Peanuts fans and public arts supporters will be greeted by wildly imaginative, larger-than-life murals—created by seven acclaimed contemporary artists as they honor and riff on the iconic work of Charles Schulz—when the works pop up in unexpected places on the streets of our Hudson Square neighborhood.
The New York City murals kick off the US leg of Phase 1 of the Peanuts Global Artist Collective tour: A groundbreaking, worldwide, public art initiative designed to bring communities together through the universal themes ingrained in Peanuts, including hope, resilience, unrequited love, and so much more. It is presented by Peanuts Worldwide in collaboration with CMA and the Hudson Square Connection and has the enthusiastic blessing of the Schulz family.
